Raymond was born in New Mexico. He had cerebral palsy secondary to near drowning. He was a non-speaking child and it was difficult to understand what he wanted, but he was bright, interested in what was going on around him and had the most beautiful dark eyes. He died from neurological complications due to his near drowning and seven of his organs were donated to help others live.
