Rossie was born in West Virginia and became deaf at a young age from spinal meningitis. He entered foster care a couple years after he became ill and eventually was enrolled in the school where I taught. When another foster home could not be found, he came to live with me. He still lives in West Virginia with his girlfriend of several years.
How time flies…Rossie certainly has grown up. You gave him so much. Where would he be if it weren’t for you. He is a good and handsome boy!
Rossie and I reconnected a year or so ago. Fortunately I had saved all his pictures from the time we met through his high school graduation. He was so happy to have those pictures. ~ Marian
Hey Marian, You really done very wonderful things of taking care of your foster kids into your loving home. I used to think why why why you would do such a thing like that. I understand now. I don’t know why you Marion never liked me. I never was your student.
Real glad to know Rossie Murray @ the WV School for the Deaf as a fellow schoolmate. He really was a decent and intelligent person. I always felt bad for Rossie over years due to his unfortunate upbringings as how his biological parents unbelievably dumped him to the foster home system.
I always cherish Rossie as a schoolmate fellow. We really never get close as a friend. We just come from very different world. I had same Deaf mother all my life with stepfather.
Hello Bobby, can we still call you that? Or do you prefer Robert these days?
I don’t remember that I didn’t like you. I loved my students at WVSD and hard to imagine that you feel I didn’t like you. But if you happen to think that, please don’t feel it is true.
Yes, Rossie could be one tough guy. We finally saw each other after thirty-three years of being on opposite sides of the country. John is also doing well. He continues to work hard. These two have shared so much love with me.
