Ilan was born at Stanford Medical Center. He had a rare syndrome, Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome. He also was missing one eye and had very poor vision in his other eye, and a hearing loss. Ilan was profoundly mentally limited but loved any toy that made noise and had buttons. He was a happy guy who loved to laugh and hug.
We could not be more grateful to Marian for her never ending love and devotion to our birth son, Ilan. Any progress Ilan made in his short life was due to her attention and insistence that all her sons live up to their fullest potential.
Thank you Caryn for your sweet thoughts. As you know, Ilan was one rare fellow and I’m most honored to have been chosen to help raise him. I sure do miss his hugs. As I developed his page, there were several times where I had to stop and collect myself emotionally. Marian
